Tip#1 How to Decrease Morning Anxiety: Tips for a Calm Start to Your Day

  1. Waking up at the same time every day helps build predictability in your routine, making you less anxious.

  2. Step into the sunlight for at least 5-10 minutes first thing in the morning, it reduces anxiety and helps promote dopamine production. Dopamine is a neurotransmitter and hormone that is mainly responsible for motivation.

  3. Avoid screen time for at least 60 minutes after waking up, to prevent dopamine crashes later in the day. If an hour seems to much, start with smaller increments and build you way to 60 minutes.

  4. Avoid caffeine in the morning, because cortisol is the 3x higher in the body and we should use our natural energy resource.

  5. Plan your day the night before to help you feel prepared for a new day and reduce anxiety. Small details like preparing your lunch and preparing you clothes will give you much more mental energy. Follow these tips and have a calm and amazing day! ☀️
