Amélie Martin, BSW, RSW
Amélie uses play, creativity, art, nature, movement, and each client’s individual interests to make therapy engaging and meaningful. She recognizes that children and teens often communicate in ways that go beyond words, and she adapts her approach to help them express themselves in ways that feel natural and accessible.
Her work with families is collaborative and strengths-based, with a focus on building connection, understanding, and practical tools that can support growth both inside and outside of therapy.
Clients and families appreciate Amélie’s warm, creative, and approachable personality. She is passionate about creating spaces where children and teens feel comfortable being themselves, expressing their emotions, and discovering their own strengths.
Amélie believes therapy can happen in many different ways and that some of the best conversations happen outside of a traditional office. When appropriate, she enjoys incorporating nature, creativity, movement, and each client’s interests into the therapeutic process, including through community-based and outdoor sessions.
Outside of work, Amélie enjoys life in the country with her dogs and chickens. She is deeply involved in her community and enjoys being part of projects and initiatives that allow her to help others and give back.
About
Amélie is a creative, compassionate social worker who brings a flexible and outside-the-box approach to her work with children, teens, and families. She believes that therapy doesn’t always have to look like sitting across from someone in an office, and she takes the time to meet each client where they are, both literally and emotionally.
With experience working in a variety of settings, including mobile crisis services, Amélie has developed a strong ability to connect with young people experiencing a wide range of emotional and mental health challenges. She is especially passionate about supporting children and youth and creating spaces where they feel comfortable being themselves, expressing what they are experiencing, and building confidence in their own abilities.
